What’s on the other side of your storm?

Life is full of storms, some expected, some that catch us completely off guard. But through it all, God’s Word remains our anchor, offering peace and assurance even when everything around us feels like it’s falling apart. Whether the storm is emotional, spiritual, or physical, I promise you, there is hope on the other side.

I’ve weathered many storms in my life. Most came without warning. And though I couldn’t control the problems, I had to quickly learn how to hold on to my faith, even when I felt like I was sinking.

On February 6, many of you know I was in a car accident. My car was badly damaged, and I ended up in the ER with intense neck, shoulder, and head injuries. I was upset, overwhelmed, and worried about my car… what I didn’t realize in that moment was that the very accident that caused me so much pain also saved my life.

How, you ask?

Because of that accident, I was forced to go to the hospital. And it was there, during routine X-rays, that doctors discovered something, something that, if left undetected, could have changed my life forever. That wreck was a blessing in disguise.

The truth is, we will all face crisis moments that hurt deeply.

We will go through challenges that leave us confused and uncertain.

There will be seasons where life no longer feels familiar or safe.

Dreams may be delayed. Health may unexpectedly shift.

But in those moments, I want to ask you: Whose voice are you listening to?

In our lowest places, we often scramble to fix things ourselves. But sometimes, the most powerful thing we can do is to be still and remain steadfast.

You will not die in this storm.

The battle you’re facing right now is not the end, it’s confirmation that there’s a greater assignment on your life.

Speak to the storm. Rebuke the lies.

You are not finished.

God is calling you through the storm, not to stay in it.

Even when you’re tempted to turn back, remember this: God is waiting to meet you on the other side.

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;

and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you.

When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned;

the flames will not set you ablaze.” Isaiah 43:2 (NIV)
